School day in the snow...

Today we had a late start to allow safe travel to school. Those who couldn't safely get to school were encouraged to stay home...hence we had a total of 12 students in Room 10 today!

We started the day with a snow fight...even Mr Buckner joined in! After that we created some fabulous snow stories, maths games, making snow flakes and went to music class.

Everyone had an ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT day in the sun and snow.

A reminder that there will be another late start tomorrow (Friday at 11am) due to low temperatures forecast over night and the amount of ice and snow still on the roads.  See you at school!

  1. Hi Room 10. Miss Baird here. sorry if you get this a few times. I am still getting use to my new iPad. I miss everyone! Especially those from room 11 last year. Looks like you are having such fun in the snow! I'm jealous! Although Australia is a lot warmer than there. Today it got up to 20 degrees. It's exciting to see what everyone has been doing on your blog. And seeing the pictures...everyone has grown so much! I would love to see more of what absolutely brilliant things you have been doing with Miss O'Neill! Keep up the great work. Miss you all. Miss Baird :)

    1. Sorry it has taken me so long to reply Room 10! I didn't know you had replied.
Martina, I have been teaching a lot of different children of all ages. From three years old to thirteen years old! I have been offered a few jobs and have an interview tomorrow but what I really want to do is become a school psychologist (someone who helps children that need to talk or are having trouble in the classroom) but I don't find out whether I can do this for a few more weeks, so we will see :)
Kody haha not that rich but iPads aren't as expensive in Australia as in New Zealand so it wasn't too bad!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes I am having a great time! There are so many wonderful things to see and do. Last week I went caving and got to go visit a chocolate factory. They had bowls and bowls full of different types of chocolate for free! It was delicious! I was naughty and I filled my bag :0
Eli - of course I remember you and Kody. I'll never forget you lovely munchkins! You have got even taller! I didn't think that was possible! Although, Kody is catching you :)
I'm very jealous about your snow days and all the exciting things you have been doing. I love having a look through all the fantastic things you have been doing.
Keep up the great work. Miss you all lots and lots. Miss Baird x
